I painted my walls with it I painted my heart I painted everything around me It was all green from the start I was hypnotized by the color It conveyed everything I wanted But it made good days go bad And happiness was too often taunted You were mine and nobody else’s But everything was green Because I painted it with envy and nothing else could be seen If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything. |

Not a bad idea, but I would say avoid the rhyme scheme. It makes everything seem way to forced. Green always represents envy. Maybe try a new, more creative way to represent the emotion. |
