I'll Be Missing You

wow guys ive had such a writer's block lately so bear w/ me if this isnt up to parr!
Today you said goodbye,
as my heart sunk down to my knees.

I don't know how long I've
been staring down that dirt road,
afraid of moving
afraid of turning my back on the emptiness
that you have left behind.

I keep thinking that if i stand here long enough,
maybe you'll take back that farewell
and I'll be able to breathe again.

But it's getting colder now--
the sun is setting,
and there are no colors reflected in the sky
only blue/grey clouds,
giving way to a blanket of dim stars.

How disappointing,
yet somehow fitting:
you walked into my life
out of the blue;
it only seems right for you to leave that way, too.

So I'll stand here until the blue turns into black,
and the black turns into blue
until the stars no longer shine
and the sun breaks through the ocean of darkness.

I'll stand here forever...
because that's how long I'll be missing you.

I liked this, it reminded me of a place I have been many times. How hard it is to stand, waiting for someone to refill the emptiness they left in you. Nice write.

It's good to see a new poem from you. I really enjoyed this and i couldn't agree with you more on how you feel in this. I know there is someone I hope will end my waiting and I wish the same for you becuase you are an amazing girl and always will be!
