You promised me you'd stop by today So here i am waiting on the porch cold rain drops hit my face The tears fill up making it hard for me to see Third time this week a promise you broke to me Why do i still have so much trust in you After all i've been put through You haven't proved a thing, but i continue to give you a try Maybe my heart's just not made of stone Why don't you love me? I never did anything but love you I was only 5 when you left, Tell me what were you trying to prove You're suppose to be a man Someone i need in my life The more i try and chase you The more you go and hide I wish you'd come to see me If only just one time I remember the day you left You promised you'd be back and everything would be fine 13 years later i'm still waiting For you to fix all these promises that you keep breaking. This poem isn't personally about me, but i know there are many kids in this situation, i just thought i'd write a little about it hope you like it and please tell me what you think |

I was reading the poem and felt like crying...it was that powerful. Then I saw the bottom note and read that you are not personally going through this, which made me feel alittle better. But like you said, there are so many kids going through this, and it's just depressing that so many people have to go through this situation. ~Alli~ Happy Holidays! |
