Those words you uttered often
I took them to heart,
but why shouldn't I
maybe i was to blind to see
you were my closest friend
i've relied on you since we were young
and you've always known the feeling was mutual
"..I'm here to the end"..
to the end you tell me?
Did you ever think it would be so near
the night you left me,
lying
cold
hurt
needing help
you left me that night
maybe you don't think i would remember
but clearly these words you spoke
"She'll be fine, just leave her there let's get out of here before we get blamed"
You do realize you were leaving me there to die
No remorse, no second thoughts, it was that quick
i realized
what kind of friend are you?
surely not one i need in my life
that night you stabbed me in the back
faster than i could blink
So now i think back, what did you mean
when i could count on you for anything
the first chance you had to walk away from me
when i really needed you
you did
but i stayed strong
you see, i'm not going to sit here and cry
that night i made it out alive
it was are friendship that died.
