Memories

Ever since I was little,
I have always admired you,
You were the one who had done it all.

I can still remember the first day I met you,
and all the times you babysat me.
How you ever sat down,
and were able to play Barbie for hours at end,
still amazes me to this day.

You were my friend,
and a sister at heart.
For you have impacted my life,
in more ways then one.

If ever I had a question,
or even a problem,
that I just could not turn to my parents for,
you were there.

You would even give me advice about life,
even if I never asked for it,
and for that I am thankful.

Without your help in guidance,
of all the things that life may throw my way,
I would be lost,
and utterly confused.

Not to say that I am not,
because their was still a few things that you forgot to mention,
but no worries I forgive you.

For you have helped me enough,
and now that you are gone,
these are the things,
that I will hold closest to my heart.
That and all the memories,
that you have given me over the years.

So now I just hope,
that when it is my time,
to gain angel wings like you,
I can tell you stories,
about all of the things that I have done,
and maybe even help you out,
if ever you should need a hand.
