and i sit on the subway as the ivy covered houses roll past, foggy windows and picket fences in tow, and i am lost again inside my head. the line between familiar and foreign blurs before your feet. you look so cute standing there, bewildered and intoxicated by it all, as if another earthquake just passed. as another man's trash becomes all i am living for, you smoke away your inhibitions yet again. quick, jump in now headfirst before you get cynical, before the feeling of dying inside is heavier than gravity. you wrap me up in taffeta and tie me with stain bows, so tightly that i can no longer breathe but it doesn't even matter as long as i look pretty clutching onto your arm. as the effects of the absinthe die before my eyes, the stars lose some of their mystery and you lose much more than just glamour. "and i'll sit and wonder of every love that could have been if i'd only thought of something charming to say..." -death cab |

I really love the way you describe things in this. Very awesome. Great poem, I think the end was my favorite part! It was really just so...cool. "You lose much more than just glamor." I love that, it holds alot of meaning. Thanks for sharing. If I could fall asleep tonight |
