"Shayne Pete Manning" Shayne P. Manning was a rebellious young man, He wore black nail pollish, and matching mascara. An old leather coat, worn out pants and army boots, Sick of bein' a sheep so he joined a new era. On graduation he was given a medal, Read; "Shayne Manning's a freak. The class of ninety eight." Every time he's walking down his birth towns main-street, Parents point out that he's what kids should learn to hate... Chorus Shayne Manning, "Masquerading Teen," The first knight of desguise I've seen, Painted his pictures black and white. Shayne Manning was his own prison, Captured he figured he'd belong, But darkness can't grow into light. Drinking and drugs helped him steer clear of sober hood, Including a life where he's shoved 'round and spit on. Working of pusher-street's an accomplishment, Most get arrested or shot before they've begun. Suddenly one evening a woman was attacked, He acted instantly, fist on fist made it's way. Though the tables turned good, towards the two mockers, But for once he'd the man underneath get a say... Chorus All thought he bled tremendously, And salty mascara drops ran, He managed to whisper;"Are you OK?" She squeezed him firmly and held tight, "Please don't die, not here, not tonight." "It ain't fair, you shouldn't be the one to pay!!" To the E.R. his heart stopped twice, Still the operation went nice, But the next twenty four hour's critical. She's nested in an old brown stool, Pleading the Lord to bend the rules, Only he can save Shayne Mannings lost soul. Chorus The woman whose name was Linda Osbourne And Shayne Pete Manning had a white wedding Raised three kids in a house in the mid-west Shayne Manning "The Masked Teen's" done pretending... They were both Eighty years young, And they both died hours apart.
