I look at your picture I see your lighted eyes I smile and touch your cheek wishing back the clock Could we have been? Could we have worked? The answers are irrelevant as the wind takes them away with the dust But still i have your picture and still i see your eyes and even as i touch your cheek the time stills as you aren't here Would you have held me close? Those nights i could have cried? Even though you never would have dried them, my tears still leaked for you But still i have your picture and still i see your eyes and even when i touch your cheek I know we never were Would you hold my hand? Would you even try? 'Cause in your eyes i always knew i wasn't what you were looking for But still i have your picture and still i see you eyes and even as i touch your cheek i still wish you were mine *note: since i know certain people will ask about who this poem was written for...not pointing fingers...it was written last year and i just recently found it again. LOR "It would make those who listen to it doze into a land of rivers, kund fu and unicorns, eventually making the listener pee in his/her pants - Brandon |
