Blood stained the halls. Without reason or thinking, Together layed the foundation on the grounds. Anger was the gun, Ignorance was the decoy, As the fallen held gasped with eyes touched to the ceiling. Mistreating the lens, To throw pain at those indifferent, Created noble games for the scheme. The plan was sound, The children were as visible, Like the deer is to the hunter. There was silence, Play the violin for those cries that will soon awaken, The sheer screams to begin the bloodshed of infinite blame. Those that felt safe in this sanctuary, Naïve enough to bury their own, Yet selfish enough to walk with canes of gold. The plan turned into success, The bodies had fallen, And the peaceful domain was full of terror. So the hunters, Well, they got their deer, But their faces lay grim standing next to the fallen. |

great writing. for some reason, I wasn't really fond of the deer connection. Maybe I'm just nit-picking. Cause I really like this piece. my favorite part: "Those that felt safe in this sanctuary, Naïve enough to bury their own, Yet selfish enough to walk with canes of gold." Nice, very nice. Quite captivating. |

Lexy- I wasn't sure about the deer-hunter refrence either, but the deer represented innocence and the unknown fact that they were about to be attacked. Hope that helps. Thanks again. Tomer |
