I knew she was falling, drifting deeper into the pit she herself has dug. But she beckoned me to hush. I saw her bleed, her life fading with every crimson drop. But for her I kept it soft. I let her wail in her agony, helplessly trapped in the walls she built. Each breath weaker than before. And yet I uttered not. She found paradise, and it isn't here, she left the pain for us to bear, because I kept quiet. The sun I could have showed her, the peace she could have had. A painful mistake of mine to have been Silenced. |

Thank you very much for reminding me to be a better friend. I needed to read this this morning. A thoughtful and caring write that expresses honestly feelings of helplessness that others have felt watching ME--and that I feel for others too. Thank you. |

Thank you. It takes a lot of courage to speak, and takes even more to be a good friend. |
