“Aphotic”

Padparadscha beams break
Beyond the distant sea
Fading to ephemeral darkness
Broken by the corposant lights of heaven

Pulling me deeper
Dragging me down
In to the recesses
Of my mind

Phantasmic rays embark
Beyond the distant sea
Confined by an aphotic sky
Destined to be forgotten

Awoken to the cold desolation of the truth
Crystallized tears float down
Gently sweeping across my heart
Like a bell resonating
The loneliness.
Of my soul.

Where the luminous rays of hope.
Of love.
Can never hope to reach.

It's too bad I'm not as wonderful a person as people say I am, because the world could use a few people like that.
