Unattached and uncontrolled
Done with what had taken hold.
I’m starting to see inside of me
The resolve that was meant to be.

There’s something more I need in life
Attainable only without this strife.
Now that my worries are forever gone
My focus won’t be on what’s wrong.

Again I try to mend my soul
Needing so badly to become whole.
Facing it all will cause me pain
My meaning and purpose I will regain.

I think that this is something every one feels, but what makes us different is how we get our selves out of that place. Good write.

I appreciated this poem. You do a good job describing the strife and conflict that must occur inside each of us in order for growth to occur.

PS: Good catch on your response to my poem about shunning the shadow.
