I bleieve in hate, I believe in love I know that sometimes in life its never enough You want to use your voice, but you don't You want to scream and shout, but you're quiet You hide your feelings that you want to show Theres things about you, that noone knows A voice in your head that won't go away When you need to use your own, think of what to say The tears you hide and the violence you show A secret about your life that noone knows The colors you see, red and black Something about you thats taken back When the only thing thats rightfully yours You let it go, its gone, never to return You think to yourself " Is this what I earned?" Your virginity gone, lost your pride taken Your heart that was whole is now breaking The anger you feel but you don't let it out The things that you said, when you'd shout It was mine now its gone, did you ever know That your virginity is the only thing you have control over in your whole life? So do what you want but I warn you now Once its gone, its gone, no reasons how Kate |

an interesting thought...but what if humankind does not have free will. it is apparently a part of our belief systems but have you ever questioned the origins of your beliefs. i was once a total believer in free will but the study of genetics, dna and protein synthesis and an understanding of how proteins impact on controlling behavior have caused me to think and question. |

and Kate.... what about rape? that kind of goes with rv's question of free will. if we are not meant to have control over that one aspect, then it will be taken away from us. the piece is well written, and if free will reigns, then you are absolutely right. our one point of control. |

sometimes yes it does get taken away.. but its more likely that you give yourself away. like you wanted it so you give your virginity away. thats how i see it. everyone has free will but sometimes there is no other choice.. or well i dont mean choice i mean like the saying "the better of the two evils" i think thats the right saying.... |
