The noises I heard, the colors that I saw

I didn't believe it a first, but then I've seen it all

I wasn't sure who it was, but when I knew, I cried

My first thought in my mind was, did she die

It was freezing and snowing, but I didn't care

I went outside to make sure she was still there

When I saw her, I ran, to make sure she was okay

Her words went so fast, she had so much to say

I'm scared, and afraid, now everythings gone

We both stood outside watched the fire for so long

The flames heated our faces, the smoke in the air

Then the trucks and cars tha arrived so fast

Used as much water as they could, so the fire wouldn't last

A candle, it was said, that started it all

Such a big thing that started out small

Her cat named Snow white, that she couldn't find

When they left the house, everything they left behind

I didn't cry until the very next day

I was a loss of words, I didn't know what to say

and now I think after I already said goodbye

I tried so hard not to, but I still cried

Its amazing what a fire, can do to your life

It makes you think alot, makes you even think twice

It took her a while to believe everythings real

and it hurt me inside, because I know how it feels

So many things that could've been worse

She wouldn't be here, or she could be hurt

It made me think that you should treasure everyday

Do what you want and say what you have to say

This event that happend, yes it was real

It happend on February 27, 2008, now tell me, how do you feel?

This poem is about my friend dawn her house was set on fire by a candle and her cat is snow white and she lost her cat.

Thank you guys it was so unexpected and it scared me so much. I haven't seen her since the incident and I hope shes ok.

I've seen her and shes doing fine, shes still in school and now shes under the care of the american red cross.
