Removal of the eyes Gives my heart a saddened Chill, How their greenish flecks Befill me The starlit winters night How I lost all I ever was While locked within your sight Before you sits a broken man Your fragile pinkish heart In hand Peculiar how it can hurt So bad While love is only in the mind. I sew the gaping chest work Each thread is made with love, The bosom where I would rest My face Is covered in your blood. No This is not the end You'll live on eternally No No it's not the end Forever you'll be in My arms. I could never let you go My darling cold and blue I wonder are you dreaming still, Blood removed. Tonight I'll lay beside you In necromantic sin Pinned to the bedsheets Like a prized butterfly You're mine I hear your voice So precious echoing deeply inside I did my best to love you While you did live and breath This tender taxidermy Trophy of the bereaved. Feedback welcome! Critiquing as well. Thanks |

Welcome to Pip, this is unusual, different, strange...not sure whether I would want to read too many along these lines, personally, I think Necrophilia is dead boring...... "Ignorance is the Enemy...." |

It's not really about necrophilia... Did you get nothing from the title and reading it? It's about preserving your lover after death... It's deeper than just taxidermy it's in keeping the memory of your lover in the most gruesome way for lack of a better word. And I think I alluded to that quite well. Theres only one or two lines in the poem that even come close to necrophilia. but hey if you got necrophilia thats fine. This man who's preforming the taxidermy on his dead lover, is in no means infatuated with dead bodies or intimate encounters with dead bodies, it's just his love for his wife/girlfriend/whatever that drives him to insanity. |

excellent piece. i think the way you used the imagery(how ever dark it was) to portray the death of love/ loved ones was magnificent. " pinned to the bedsheets like a prized butterfly" absolutely loved this piece. "And behold, a pale horse, and the man who sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him." - Revelations |

Your imagery (Necromantic sin! Gruesome!), effective diction, and flowing emotions make this a top read for this site. Keep up the good work, megaskull! |
