Say you love me, but you can't hang around. Your life has been hell and I keep you down. I didn't mean for things to go this way. Tears fall, there's nothing I can say. The truth just a matter of perception. Only thing we both feel is rejection. Both our hearts make ready to break. I try and explain its all a mistake. You say I never held you long enough. That holding on to me is just to tough. You pack your things walk out the door. This world is nothing to me once more. Here I stand with my back against the wall. Fighting back tears as I'm losing it all. My heart in my hands broken in two. All I did was try and love you. Everyday I see a sunrise is a blessing, Every night I see the moon rise is a miracle. |

I really like this poem, Ada, but here are some mechanical things to make it even better. YOU say you love me, but (delete you) can't hang around. Your life has been hell and I'M keepING you down. I didn't mean for it to end this way. Tears fall, there's nothing I can say. The truth, just a subject of perceptionS. The only things we both feel are rejectionS. Both our hearts make ready to break. I try and explain its all a mistake. You say I never hOld you long enough. That holding on to me is just too tough. You pack your things, and walk out the door. This world is nothing to me, once more. Here I stand, with my back against the wall. Fighting back tears as I'm losing it all. My heart in my hands, now broken in two. All I did was try and love you. |
