(This isn't that dark... it should probably go in teen poetry but i've only ever posted here, so yesss..)
-infact i know this is very weak and not like my usual writing, but i just needed to get it out! so ohwell!

its never been more than this.
not for me.

deep, kneading hands;
fingers on my heart.
warm, tickling breath
pulsing through veins
mind, body, life
overthrown
by you

what was i supposed to do?
leave u and i
who we were then,
back in taranaki?
the moment i left
was i meant to forget?

nothing.
never.
nothing has ever made me feel this way
never made me want to scream out loud
tell the world
heck, i even told my mum.
she thought you looked like daniel carter!

its not easy
sitting back
watching.
watching the people i'm with
who i see everyday
go on pretending they have it.
love
real, love.
when i know i can't even see you

just once
i'd like that.
so instead of the memory of you
prodding at my heart,
whistling through my veins
taking over my mind, body and life..
instead of that,
you could.
you.
thats all i want.

as long as we laugh out loud, laugh like we're mad. because this crazy, mixed up beauty is all that we have.

Life sure as hell sucks sometimes. But I'm glad you wrote it down, at the very least for my own pleasure of reading your words. Especially the first stanza where you made it sound like your heart was being strangled.
