THIS MOMENT IN TIME Right now This moment in time My mind wonders It rushes through to places filled with excitement So far away from my repetitive world This moment in time As the rain hits the windows do I wonder of the beaches of Maui Golden stretched and smooth The people friendly The trees, the flowers huge My life so nothing compared to The black asphalt of my world cracks Letting in the waters to freeze with the coming winter Widening even further with every winters pass The uniform gray Do I wear Does it match the clouds as they pass silently above Were I to stand in an open space could I vanish? Whisked away without ever rushing past with them To places unknown In this moment of time Do I wish for death Would I be so brave to face it The one true given of life is its end The one thing we can all count on Without question I watch the clouds leave Watch them die They may change Come down to our level Yet they always end up back where they started To begin again A new Like the sands of Maui Washed away Only to come back somewhere different Mixed with so many things it found along the way As the dull branches of a dying tree tap against my window Do I wake myself to find I am lost In this moment in time [This message has been edited by Seeker72 (10-22-2007 02:11 AM).] |
