I look straight down as i'm standing on a bridge I wonder if I could fly right over the edge I take one last look and I land with a dive How could this happen why am I still alive maybe it's a sign that I must get over you I look down and the water is blue I can't count the times I've tried to keep from going insane this was my last chance and I still have this pain I look back down the water is red five more minutes and I could've been dead but somebody took away my gift of death as they tried to help so I held my breath I thought just maybe it would slow my heart down it wouldn't be suicide it they all thought I drowned but he kept trying and got some life back to me I opened my eyes to where I didn't want to be now I sit in an asylum staring at the white walls it scares me so much hearing the ghosts in the halls I don't know what happened it seems I lost my brain but somewhere along I also lost all my pain They poke and prod and I take test after test then I get tired and they allow me to rest they even feed me 'cos I can't eat on my own what made me jump was I that much alone years go by 'til they think i'm alright it's really scary sleeping by myself at night they used to be there when I'd wake covered in sweat now i'm alone with no protective net it took a little while but I'm back on my feet out there in the world with some many people to meet I'm glad I got the help and thats all I have to say if it weren't for them I wouldn't be here today |

Sounds like this was personal, but I hope not. No one should have to go through that. Good write. "One last drink and the bottle breaks, returning us to the dust from whence we came" |

This was absolutely amazing, my heart was renched out by it. Wow, i'm still in awe of it's absolute beauty. "Our Father who art in Heaven... Hallowed be thy name..." |

I know that if they were there to read this that they would say what I say... Glad to help. Hey Hunnine great writing as for always. Hugs from Abbeon The world behind these thoughtful eyes, caution may seem crazy. |

I'm new to this site and this is one of the first poems I've read on it. After reading it I'm so glad I came here. Your style and form are terrific and you write from the heart. |
