I realize this is longer than other peoples but i generally write long poems. I hope you enjoy it and i hope i posted it in the right forum.

You said I was like every other girl,
The fact is,
I wasn’t but you were like every other guy,
I didn’t lie like your other girls,
Or abuse you and treat you badly,
I didn’t pretend to love you,
Or just up and leave you like you were trash,

My eyes had glazed over with stars for you,
And I smiled because of you,
I trusted you because I loved you,
That’s the way love goes,
Even when I was scared and accusing you,
I was trusting you to tell me I was wrong,
That you’d prove it to me,
Show me that I could love you,
And not get hurt again,

You once said you’d never leave,
That you can’t walk away,
That you’d always be waiting for me,
No matter what,
Was that a lie?
I guess so,

Call me what you want,
I guess in my own way I’m a conniving witch,
It’s funny because everyone wonders why I hate myself so much,
But it’s more than obvious,
Because everyone leaves,
And I get hurt by them,
By through fault of my own I suppose,

You told me to find another guy to make me happy,
That was the only reason I needed you anyways,
You’re a idiot and I love you,
And I hope your going to be ok,
Even if I’m not going to be.

A breaking heart filled with love lost is as dark as the night....I find it sad that we combine it to the darkness... an action I am also guilty of... human after all.

Still a lovely poem if not empty for the loss it gives me, as I have also sat and wondered by the very same thing.

I really liked it.

Welcome to Passions. I really liked this. beautifully written. It doesn't matter how long your poem is.. it can be 5 pages long, well I wouldn't recommend having it that long

Another place you could check out to post in is Teen poetry, You might like it there too...

This was so sad. I loved every part of it though and will happily add it to my favs.

Oh! don't worry about how long or short you're poems are (I prefer long poems myself
