Simple is not my life Wish I couldn’t tell wrong from right Sadness takes me down It’s true now I only wear a frown I’m tearstained With al little blood Tear stained Sinking in the mud Drowning with all my sorrow Wish I didn’t have to see tomorrow Cause it’s tearstained Today is just another in a long line of days And they go by and I stand here dazed Trying to forget but I know better I sit in the dark reading old love letters And remember how it was When I was younger and could not see How cold and cruel this world could be Cause it’s tearstained With a little blood It’s tear stained Sinking in the mud Drowning with everyone’s sorrow’s Wish there didn’t have to be a tomorrow Cause it’s tearstained Wish I wasn’t so cold now Can’t say when or how I changed Whether or not for the better I don’t know But I’m tear stained With a little blood... ~Should the truth be so buried in the endless cemetery of broken dreams?~ |
