CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW? I scream to the heavens As the obsidian tears of others fall about me. A thunderous snarl scares the bit of electric light away. Whirlwinds of emotion snatch my words from me as I continue. I’M FINALLY SPEAKING UP! ISN’T THIS WHAT YOU WANTED? YOU WANTED TO SEE ME BROKEN, DIDN’T YOU? Pure tears fall with the tainted, Warmth contrasting with the coldness of my soul. DIDN’T YOU WANT MY DOWNFALL? WANTED ME TO HURT LIKE YOU DID? A deafening roar in response. Puddles jump to make way as I come crashing to my knees. My hands move to prevent me from collapsing. Isnt this what you wanted? My submission? The fist clutching my heart squeezes this whisper from me. Disgraced at my appearance and wanting to save face, My hair forms a heavy curtain around me. Though unable to see, I can feel its satisfaction. I trust to look up. The fist grips me tighter when I see my wings in the distance, Now bloody and tattered, lying on the ground. This is your true desire? Rumbling growls answer me. Then who am I to deny you of your wish? With that, I release what’s left of my soul And crumple to the ground. All ceases and dissipates. The storm has been appeased. ~~Poetry is written emotion~~ |
