Closer to Hell...

Sitting alone and out of the way
In her corner she will play
Her eyes have lost their sparkle, their gleam
Now they make me want to scream
She smiles so sweetly with soft pink lips
Drinking from her little tea cups with careful little sips
A lie is hidden behind her childish eyes
Soon to discover that one so young can despise
A horror, a curse, if only it were true!
I child so lonesome kept so cold and blue
In her corner alone she plays
Alone with only her imagination she stays
Demons haunt her dreams at night
Yet she sits all alone in the morning light
She plays alone as if some bodies really there
She plays alone but nobody really cares

I really like this poem. It has so many meanings that are so true.

oh Kira this was amazing i really loved it, this had a beautiful flow and the last lines seemed to really hit home. thank you for sharing this poem i really hope to read more in the future...

Lol.  It's small wonder that the scariest movies are the ones that use little girls to play the bad/haunted/possessed characters.
