It is just so hard to believe another year has passed us by
Within our domain, it seems like all the years run together
I guess it feels like this, because within our realm we can never die
Our love for each other has survived for a thousand years,  it is so hard to believe all this time we have been together.

As long as I am with you, I am not really bothered by what we we have to do
No one thinks our realm actually exists
That fatal bite, then my choices were very few
To some people's dismay, we really do exist.

All the treacherous things we must do to survive
Living from the life force of others
To keep alive, the blood, of this I must never be deprived
I have to drink the blood of my fellow men, my brothers.

So another year is passing just like all the others
We will celebrate this in our own way
For all these years, my love, there has never been another
In the years to come I will never stray.

So, tonight one more time, as so many times before, we will raise our glasses to celebrate another new year
The liquid in our glasses so thick and red
To the upcoming years I have no fear, I am with you, my love, even if we are of the undead.

How original, a vampire couple celebrating their anniversary!  Hard to imagine living a thousand years with one person. Fascinating idea!
