be feeling you weep,
… … the uncertainty of silent tears.

Am I,
Am I really
watching you leave,
… … the crumbling blur of your shadow.

Is there,
Is there really
no way to tell you,
… … the eternal regret of a foolish mistake.

Guess we,
Guess we really
can’t turn back now
… … the impossibility of forgiveness.

May I,
May I still
draw you close,
… … to feel your mesmerizing warmth
for one last time?

The way you wrote this was not only heartfelt, but illuminated the pain long after the read was finished.
