By Heart Each passing day more restless Pacing the lair, of emotional rooms Unable to cry a river red enough To drain the sea from my soul Strength is my own enemy Yet, the best I can give for you Never knowing if God sends test or treason Hoping beyond reason, to let my very blood Is friendship not love first and more? And is it true that once then, never to be again? Was it just too much the most I ever wanted for? Drop by drop, through time undaunted Just a calculated rhyme you tinkered Burned into my trust, a fated pulse That I am forgotten without a tear Have mine, spilled uncontrollably Held back in frail futility, wanting only you Nor could I ever share the grief before Humility is for certain my very beauty Until you came, uncovering my eyes To honor my own feelings undisguised A challenge to be fought and won Deserving you more tenderness per serving That I should fade in silence with the rain Live the love I feel beyond the pain Not knowing how to make each beat resume Filling to capacity and left to loom Wandering the shores my heart implores For my footsteps sink silently in sand Dreaming of drowning Copyright Kkh 8/11/06 |

Kathleen~ Such an aching emote ... you pour the dark ink well~ 'Drop by drop, through time undaunted Just a calculated rhyme you tinkered Burned into my trust, a fated pulse That I am forgotten without a tear' *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |

So much emotion within this write...exposing the feelings of the giver so sharply and clearly... Most certainly a shift of genre. |
