In the fires soft golden light The demon in me howls in fright For on this night of the flame Ive cast aside my hurt, my pain To him the end of my sin For i offer up a solemn hymn My angels sweet voice at last i hear It removes the shackles of fate, my fear But with a soft and sibilant hiss Gone is all this happy bliss Back again the haunts of past As darkness encroaches so fast Somewhere in the dark a woman cries As in a boy, poor hope dies. A sign in the wind ringed by the falling petals Alone Amongst black roses |

Very dark and filled with feeling. The wanting of the kiss and the doom it brings. I enjoyed this piece a lot. Thanks for posting it! |
