Now I focus on the darker side of things
The reason I am one of these horrid beings
Taken in by the evil that is night
Pale is my skin, deprived from the light
Blood rains and from that I sip
Crimson the color of my covered lips
To guard and protect my sacred vows
The Saint of Affliction is here for you now
Black is my soul, dark is my mind
Leaving all mortal morals behind
I shall remain for all the life of those who live
The accursed one, whom God cannot forgive
A Saint of my own accord
Your precious Savior and bloodstained Lord
Your suffering soon shall be mine as well
But the tears I cry have a stroy to tell
My hunger grows at the scent of your breath
My body craves the sight of your death
All alone Affliction takes a toll
As I am crucified on the red shaded knoll
This is my story, my canticle of blood
The fire never leaves, though the presence of the flood
My desire for love and reasons to continue
Have brought me into this dark, dank venue
Take a seat, my tale is one of great passion
A need to need in a chaotic fashion
Hold my hand as I take you through
In the end you'll see 'tis not only me and you
Cry for me, with me, against me
Your Saint of Affliction will not flee
Hear me out now, listen good and well
As together we walk through my own personal hell

Wow... For once i am at a loss of words. I cant express to you how much i liked this poem. I found it so very beautifull... Well done, its excellent! i cant wait to read more! I can honeslty say i am very impressed. (a rare compliment from me, i might love a poem but that does not mean i am impressed by th writer) I commend you on a trully beautifull write. Please keep it up.

hells gate reads Abandon hope all ye that enter here
shall we go?
the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

my gosh...wow. excuse me if im wrong, but i definitely think the character in this poem is a vampire...a wonderfully descripted one at that. the imagery is awesome! this poem grabs you by your senses and holds you captive. heh, i beg of you, continue to write like this.
