Real Change other than quarters In you lap Pigeons on the floor Next to your chair I want to somehow show I care If I had learned your name... Maybe I could give a more specific word Our souls could dance together God's big black eye surely sees you His full strong heart, a love for you Real Change, is what you want But do you really? The light somewhere in there Follow it to life love Rumbling sound, its God above This poem isn't about art Its about you, my friend Please tell me your name and I'll pray for you May wisdom bless your soul and light Angels around you gathered delight I'm not worthy to give this literature to you A servant of God... But I beg you'll accept it as a blessing Please don't hold it lightly in your hand You're God's favorite in the land ----------------------------- Praise you Jesus! Praise the eternal reign, the Father; Jesus Christ; and the Holy Spirit. |

first off, I wanted to say that I'm glad you liked my poem. Secondly, I wanted to tell you how great I think this poem is. Especially, "If I had learned your name... Maybe I could give a more specific word Our souls could dance together God's big black eye surely sees you His full strong heart, a love for you" Incredible words, I can't wait to read more of your poetry. thank you |

Thank you guys. I met a homeless man the other day selling the newspapers called "Real Change." They're made for homeless people by homeless people. I gave him one of these necklaces I make and walked away. I stood about 30 feet away and thought and wondered how I could help him. I usually sell the necklaces for a dollar even though I've given away about 50. I walked up and told him I usually sell the necklaces for a dollar and asked for a newspaper. I kept thinking and wrote this poem and now I'm praying God will give him a merry Christmass with this poem. So thats basically what its about. God bless and thank you again. -GIS Praise the eternal reign, the Father; Jesus Christ; and the Holy Spirit. |
