Been awhile since I have visited here....hopefully will end the neglect False God Closed soul breeding a dead mind Open only on Sunday Accepting only those of a kind Take your failing God and bleed with it Destruction a follower of your path Damnation based on love I have no fear of your lords’ wrath It has not the power to give you sight All that I am can feel your hate Yet fail to understand I’ll pray to your God it’s not too late To shed such light as a numb mind can take Closed mind seeding this dead soul Redirect your faith If only your heart you gave control To see there is no false creator, only the truth [This message has been edited by tecoyah (02-12-2005 08:05 PM).] |

i don't really care for the poem, but all i've got to say is that i respect you for posting it in a highly-christian yet somehow new agey online community. wait...it's an online community... nevermind. |

"If only your heart you gave control" I like the poem, and wish to see more of its kind. |

I think the last three words saved it for me. I went to a funeral this morning and its been a little heavier in my head then usual. -GIS Corruption is caused by holes in obedience to God. |

My aplogies....I certainly had no intention of offending anyone. Had I known this had become a predominantly Christian website I would have Chosen something less distasteful to post. Mods please feel free to remove the above poem, should you see the need. Again...No offense intended. |

Tecoyah- The members of Passions are among the most understanding that you will ever find. This popem does not stand outside of the boundaries of the guidelines, and is- IMHO- a very decent write, and a really good job of putting your thoughts down... and this from an ordained minister. I actually (proving that poetry is what the reader makes of it) not as a damnation of the Spirit failing the faithful, rather the "faithful" failing the Spirit. Never sell your integrity, or the integrity of your words for what another might think... let them place their words beside it for all to judge. Great Job. In the wooden chair |

hey, know what? i didn't find this offensive either. and i'm a "christian." but i really hate to be called that because of the automatic steriotype that goes with it. I try not to be like everyone else including so called christians, and i think you're poem just explained why. nicely done. *add - River How can I stand here and not be moved by you? - Lifehouse |
