where there is dissonance beauty prevails. where there is brokenness strength abounds. my friend lives in a mobile home. yet kings of smaller kingdoms have overcome seeming superpowers. where there is smallness vastness rules. where there is doubt assurity overcomes. my friend struggles with stagnation. yet victors of greatest victories have won by amazing patience. where there is a scar love hides within. where there is purpose obstacles perish. my friend is a paradox indeed, yet needs only to be needed even when he, and i, fail to realize it. of all the things we try to find... it's only love we keep. |

Thats a really cool poem. Its an oxymoron, at least to some extent...? The last three lines stuck out quite a bit though. I kept going over them. Thats something I like about poetry, is the interpretation depends on the reader, their life, and their experiences, and maybe beliefs. -GIS Corruption is caused by holes in obedience to God. |

That was beautiful. Thanks so much for replying to my poem, it made my day brighter Like Craig, the last three lines stuck out for me. But after rereading it, the first stanza is just the most beautiful. Courts. Come on God, do I seem bulletproof? |

thanks be to you both, my friends. i'm learning to learn from life by not closing my eyes to the greatness of true friends who offer care regardless of who one is, or seems to be, in the public's eye. and courts, your new signature has given me reason to pause and seriously ponder. i love it... as i do you both. of all the things we try to find... it's only love we keep. |

Oh me. While you have developed as a writer in this forum, you have also constantly amazed. The way you structured this poem was perfect, and I took it and ran with it in several directions in my mind. I know this friend of which you speak, and I love him, and agree. This was one of your best, Mike. It made me stop from bleakness and be proud to have such friends, and such weaponry against the nasty-thought moments of life. I knew your soul would shine through your poetry just as it does your roles...lol Wings bruised from turning away in such confined space...Not broken...still healable...still feathered with life, somewhere |

my friend lives in a mobile home. yet kings of smaller kingdoms have overcome seeming superpowers. Jesus came from a bed of hay and now if one doesn't acknowledge him as Lord they go to Hell. Just an epiphany I had earlier. -GIS Corruption is caused by holes in obedience to God. |

Hey man, very nice write. I live in a f*****g trailer house near a reservation named for the Big River of the Wind, on the banks of a little river named for the Snakes. My ancestors always had "mobile housing", lol. Glad ya could see it ain't no putdown. coyote 8) "If at first an idea is not absurd, there is no hope for it." |
