IN LOVE'S WAY: s I watched beyond the shadow of me There came a breeze silently For once in a lifetime an angel appears Swiftly bearing away tears To venture out and lose is gain But never without its untimely pain When will the light of a shadowy me Burn brightly for eternity? Knowing the cycle of daunting rejection Does the decision even bear reflection? Sometimes purposefully, sometimes not Always the same; always another shot For the life-strings of our purposed lives Within and around each other entwines So this the ultimate, age-old question; A lover's heart in a bound confession: Do I place myself in love's way? |

Sorry all, the first "A" of "As" appears to have gotten lost...! Sylvia |

I really like the structure and flow of this poem. Not to mention I really like the presentation of the message. Thank you, Jen Freedom is not Free (Korean War memorial) |

I agree. This flowed extremely well, and I could relate! Nicely done! Wings bruised from turning away in such confined space...Not broken...still healable...still feathered with life, somewhere |
