It's been a very long time since I've been to passions. I penned this quickly after a drive home this evening. Cheeks still wet. HER He never stops her as she turns to go No coaxing nor coercing. nor an echo of “don’t go” She feels willing but not wanted, on the silent shuffle homeward. A journey she’s done for what seems like endless times with endless cries. She turned her back on all she had and now is left with the passionless remains. It’s night time and her cheeks are wet again It’s night time and she stares in silence again Her spirit was murdered so long ago. And each day plays like Act 1 scene 2. She lets the memories grip her, grate her. She lets in the noise and nuisance. She feels nothing and like nothing The woman she was is no more. He could have grabbed her He could have coaxed her, coerced her. He could have her |
