peace be with me for i am at war no universal victor but victimized by the wind i offer a treaty of harmony you say goodbye with a destructive bomb leaving a mass searching for pearls in a harbour of discontent united three superpowers destroyed me, myself and i by your self-prosperous good aim here's to your "boom" of glory i'll always need a friend, one i can defend. |

This is the icing on the cake to my evening of such great poems. "leaving a mass searching, for pearls in a harbour." Cue: Cry on that line. Every once in a while you have your own bomb and you drop it on me, like this poem. Now, I am just going to say it straight. I loved this. Work of art, or words, as it may be. ![]() Hollow. Courtney. I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad. The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had. - Gary Jules, Mad World. |

Eve, this was phenominal. And such a universal simile you used with eloquence. Wings bruised from turning away in such confined space...Not broken...still healable...still feathered with life, somewhere |

I was actually looking for another one you wrote, but "peace be with you" is somewhat like what Jesus says, "Peace be still" and it caught my attention. Althought I still say the "boom" couldn't have been that prosperous unless it was a kind of martyrdom for Christ. But I have some doubts about that. Just a thought. Now off to find that original poem I was looking for. -GIS John 12:25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. |
