There is a girl over there. Behind blue eyes, she hides. And cries and she cries. But, the outside is a brave lie. In the bedroom, sprawled on the sheets. Daddy said he didn’t want to hurt her again. In the summer sun, crying in the heat. Behind blue eyes, she dies again. But the bottles still get opened. But the pain is still there. The questions still are unanswered. A bruise on her wrist, on her face a pair. Oh daddy didn’t want to. Oh its not daddy’s fault. But the pain can’t be seen through. And the truth of the wounds, is like salt. Still burns away her mind. Still enslaves her fragile mind. Neither night nor day can give me purchase only purged dust on earth can avenge the worthless. |

Well, my eyes are blue, but it was a different kind of pain my daddy caused me. This piece hits home, and is expressed well. Thanks for sharing. |
