I left you in the past, Where all my sadness lies, And you came back, Once again to haunt me, To remind me of the love, That was forbidden, Never meant to be, Leave me be then, Let my wounds heal, And let me wash them, With the tears of sorrow, Those quench me to this day, Life brought me to you, And my love never stood, The test of your truth, Why do I feel this now? I speak out to the world, That the love I shared once, Was taken back from me, I cleave only to my sanity, What is left now? Sadness and others concerns, In it I surmise that this is right, And our love was wrong, My heart lied to me- And I have lost trust, In myself… I speak insanity. I write fantasy. I sleep reality. |
