We Walk The Night |

This path... I walk; we've walked it together a hundred times. The life of night, the brisk air... we had not a care in the world but each other. I held your hand as the night held us both. We'd find that place...our place, and see the city lights below us, a multitude of individual lives before our eyes. Remember looking up at the universe of stars? I remember it well. You made me look just in time... a shooting star streaking across the brilliant sky. I tried to catch it, put it in my pocket, as a symbol of our walk, our night, our love. I looked tonight once more and saw that star in a much different light. It was falling and fading. No more me, pocketing stars. I cry, and wonder... when did our "we walk the night" become my I walk alone? Wings bruised from turning away in such confined space...Not broken...still healable...still feathered with life, somewhere |

Wow. Such sorrow I feel. This was beautiful! & "No more me, pocketing stars." I loved this line~! Rider "So give life to your dreams, for there lies your survival, and cast your heart beyond those faded scenes, and I'll bring you through the storm" |

EveGnosis, I wanna hear that tune! But, make it raunchy as hell! You know, like Metallica Re-does Barry Manilow's "Somewhere Down The Road". Ha ha ha! Just kidding, Purity. Jeeessus, jump all down my... Still think it would make for a tear jerker of a song! Rider ~ the unrequited complimenter! "So give life to your dreams, for there lies your survival, and cast your heart beyond those faded scenes, and I'll bring you through the storm" |

it did. actually two. we walk the night, which i hope is better than the song with the same title in the movie tuff turf, as purity's poem was better than that story, and me, pocketing stars, since you loved it so, news. everyone here continually amazes me. i'll always need a friend, one i can defend. |

First, I want to say hi to Eve, because you are replying to everything before I can, and it seems you are online at this moment. So hello!!!!!! Next, ack ack, great poem Purity. Why do relationship poems get me so upset? Sigh. It was sad, moving. Hollow. Courtney. I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad. The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had. - Gary Jules, Mad World. |

I bet the answer to this poem would be something like the path fell through, and nothing else exists. Spin it around to a beautiful oblivion. lol. -GIS Doing the same thing a million times in a row will definitely affect your head. omg... i guess i am looking for strolls down paths of the past that will make me miserable. purity, this is a fantastic poem. it flows the way the mind thinks. i love it, and once again, i thank you. i felt the lead actor role in this, and it hurt. it truly hurt. eve of all the things we try to find... it's only love we keep. |
