I stare in silent contemplation
Suitcases in hand
This is the key to my redemption
If I can make this stand
I know I need to leave
My dreams lie down this road
If my heart could just believe
At that door my fears unload
I can walk away free
Feel the wind on my face
Be who I want to be
Vanish without a trace
And love, Oh to love
And be loved in return
Sense the heavens above
The longing it burns
But I stand here believing
In that world behind the drapes
Forever concieving
Of ways to escape
