She whispers a tune in his ear, and they’re off on their merry way. Fast as sound and just as fair, the wind wants him to stay. With hustle and haste, it tries to pull him back. But he can’t be stopped. Not by the forces of Nature or acts of God. And the skies mourn the loss. Tears hit his head and stream down his neck, but he is too busy to notice. Passing pastels of lily and lotus. Dream worlds with valleys covered in moss. His is a sweet but somber tune, Hers a vivace in full bloom. So delicate Is this parallel hymn, they struggle to avoid a Requiem. |
