I thought we would be loving A lifetime and even more Instead, you are now shoving My love and me out the door The eloquence of silence Had become conversation Now you’re eschewing pretense She’s fired imagination You’ve consigned me to your past With pompous speech, concerned frown Even knowing it won’t last This rejection’s crushed me down There’ll come a day, you’ll be back You’re only her stepping stone But such forgive, I just lack When you return, I’ll be gone. |

Beloved one, when you have the talent you have to write such truth and clarity, when you can weave wonder even out of the ashes of sorrow, when you have the ability to stud these pages with gems that bejewel this page as the stars bejewel the night. AS YOU DO, you don’t need to be able to write replies other than a simple I came, I read, and I enjoyed. The only reason I try to make my replies a little less than ordinary, and also fill the silence with senseless chatter is because I cannot do as you do and beloved one I know that I can’t. That is okay because all the time I can read your work, I shall know what delight there is and who writes it. The answer will always be Suthern writes beauty and Mushy writes replies. as always Mushy    Tomorrow is another day I don't know what it holds |

Sweet suthern lady, nobody should ever feel this kind of deep heart hurt. If this is about you, my friend, I know that you will someday meet someone who will be willing and able to give you the kind of total love you are so deserving of. This really touched me, Ruth.
