Trusted you, Loved you, my innocence you stole
made me powerless put me under your control
Made me feel like a helpless kid again
Made me believe it was my sin

How dare you, What right did you have
to take my innocence away
How dare you, blame me for this
When I was the one who you did betray

The anger building up slowly
till finally I come to see
your the one that was wrong
you've done this to me for so long

How dare you, what right did you have
To kill my childhood
How dare you blame me for this
when I never understood

Its hard to wake up and face another day
When this memory never goes away
I wake in the night in a cold sweat
What you did to me I'll never forget

How dare you keep invading my life
When I keep trying to move on
How dare you haunt my dreams
Why does this keep going on

Cry long enough and no one cares.....

This is a poignant poem - so sad, the loss of innocence, especially when taken advantage of by an older person.

Sometimes it's good to get angry, and stick up for your feelings, especially when they are abused by the ones that you counted on not to abuse you! Let out the anger, as it will only hold you back, and what I feel from this poem tells me that you have great passion.......glad you chose to share it with us!! ~S~

It seems like the ones that are supposed to love you are the ones that are the most hurtful. Sending a hug. I know how much this hurts especially when you would never have thought they would have treated you that way.
