Man's eyes hath never known, of such beauty as that, of a wanning sunset, or a starlit night. Until the night of yesterday past. Like the moon she drifted, accross the void of night, and into my life. Her origin was obvious, no celestial being-ever so perfect as she. Never before in all eternity, hath Heaven's mode been broken. Her visage soft and tanned. Her hair flowing in the gentle breeze, like amber waves of grain. Her eyes a beautiful constelation. That stared right into the heart. Her smile-beauty beyond recognition, able to thaw the streams of winter's past, and able to ignite, the flames of a lover's heart. Her soft-spoken words, are like the whispers of the wind, and a choir of angels, singing for the great Divine. Then as quickly as she appeared, she faded away into oblivion, slipping beyond the horizon, and out of my heart. But oh how beautiful she was, even in her very departure. |

Thank You for your kind replies. I'm glad most of you took a fancy to my poem. Is there anyway that you would recommend enhancing the overall affect of the poem? I'm always up for suggestions. After all I'm only an unexperienced beginner. |
