The cows contemplate the bloody torso Twirling in the air. It thuds by the river Ribbony red strings stretch into the stream, Tentacles clasping the silky sediment. Freshly plowed fields still steaming with manure, Jump jittery like Mexican jumping beans. Thunder shatters the window of afternoon. Juan’s face explodes, strips of slug colored skin Strike the splintered barn, and slide to the stone steps. His nose hits my chest, a splattered bull’s eye. And I look to the light raining upon us, Pelting us with Fascist mustachioed men Intoxicated by ideology. Screams sing to the sky, ignored by the angels. A pitchfork thwacks sharply into a bull Blessing him with another set of horns. The stabled horses howl, a rictus face. Their lips lacerated, the teeth shot from the gums. And I no longer look up to the light Raining upon us, scorching sight from the world. Absolute phallic corrupts absolutely. Pablo’s eyes dance and hover over me, I am his eyes. I reach up and swallow them As the righteous sharpen their righteousness, On the strop of a small proud farming town. I hang from the wall and awake to the end. |

Your talent is broad and rich. A harsh look upon life... Appreciating and learning from your art. TD |
