Eleven at night Sitting on the computer Chain-eating these Grease-saturated kernels Of popcorn Gulping down Watery root beer From McDonald’s Not fuel for writing Fuel for a blockage Of the arteries Of the brain pathways Of life My fingers Have Disconnected From my brain All use Has vanished Limp digits Fade into disused Infamy Desertion of talent For any period Of time Results in vast Emptiness A barren valley Of indifference Words come out Forced Cliché Unimaginative Like a jigsaw puzzle Missing a few Pieces Right in the center Half the picture Is missing All intentional meaning Is missed Smacking my gum In translucent Fragile Flickering Bubbles While Simultaneously Triumphing my Mental obstruction Assumed barrier Writer’s Block |
