Tongue-In-Cheek

I taste the churn and wonder
where IT will lead today.
The queasiness unspoken,
the "un" I never say.

Sighing to be exorcised,
those demons from within.
Battling this spirit's rise
to feel the need again.

A double sigh, it seems to be
escaping lips that free
the want of want, this build of thought,
this need of any he.

Yes any he, to eye me once
or maybe once again.
Such loneliness, endured too long,
I sacrifice to when.

Routine me, words I wish ignored.
Storms to brew instead.
Missing what I seem to lack,
dance thoughts within this head.

Always cheating, stranded me,
along life's weary path.
I cast away, marooned to be
in eye of worded bath.

Yes, bathed I am, in "always" thoughts
that leave behind a taste,
wondering if "a touch of me"
will ever become laced...

Laced and intertwined with he,
that one that's eyed me then.
Round and round I surface skim,
to shape the future's when.

thanks Donna and Dawn...actually I was laughing when I wrote this.. having a tiny discussion which brought up some words and I thought..better write down those silly thoughts..this time in rhyme.

I don't want just any he..but  the want of wanting sort of plays up the loneliness.

I was discussing about going out to a very nice restaurant which I miss doing for the last couple of years..thinking well, I could always hire an escort, but then thought "darn!"...then I would have to pay for the meal, too... might as well go alone then

so those were my  silly thoughts this  morning...

In thoughts of naked-not ...
      should thy tongue only taste
the taste of one's own cheek
      but rather hunger's haste
         the hunger of ones weak

venture so, to thy loving lip
and taste no more, ... take a sip!

Very well done my friend, I think there are lots of us who can relate to this... the seemingless never-ending wait can get to be a long one.

(big angel hugs) I absolutely agree to what's been said...you have more than you think you do and the moment you surrender may also be the moment you find all you need! (smiles) God Bless You, sweet friend, you are special to us all, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Maureen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Maureen, I feel the same as Susan.....when you
least expect it, the "he" will come along.
