The sky wore
a suit of
grey flannel
to-day.
Clouds heavy laden
with snow
without wind
crawled their way.
Over the river
frozen in time.
It's shoreline
a necklace of
artistry sublime.
Over the trees
now just stick people
sketches.
Stiff, licorice
telephone wire,
and the voices
it catches.
Like drab,
bloated pillows,
as day becomes
night,
the clouds
an ashen
backdrop
for geese
in their flight.
From invisible pockets
lace confetti
is shaken.
Sugar coating
the earth -
Gift for
our eyes
when we
waken.

There were just too many examples of great phrasing in this write to enumerate them. Your use of imagery in this is outstanding.
