Blue rose unfolding
     showing secrets
          of our first encounter
               there inside the velvet petals
glowing in the natural unseen silver threads
               running between us.

To look upon you then was to drink in the sun.
I blush now as you rediscover the truth
     and my face burns red
          from the heat.

To face this truth is to stand naked in the shadow of sorrow.
For the flower has long vanished from Earth.
So weep, Stamen, for lack of the vessel
     uniting the Pistil with you.
Weep, Pistil, for want of the vessel,
the Rose, the Silver, and Blue.

(smiles) Oh Jo, this is beautiful, sweet friend, this brought a tear to my cheek imagining the sapphire rose glistening in the moonlight, as though yearning for a more balmy evening! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jo, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Such graceful writing,  especially this......

To look upon you then was to drink in the sun.
So I blush now as you rediscover the truth
     and my face burns red
          from the heat.

Lovely work, iliana~

To face this truth is to stand naked in the shadow of sorrow.

That is one heck of a powerful sentence. And this poem is going into my library!! Enjoyed very much. Chris

Nancy, it means a lot to me that you think so.  Thank you for commenting -- like I've said above to others, I wasn't sure I'd post this one, it is so deeply personal, and didn't know if it would be meaningful for others.

iliana...the imagery here is absolutely beautiful...I don't think you need worry about others understanding your meaning. We each take from it what we need. Thank you.
