Picture by Josephine Wall * * * Why is it that you stare As if I've committed a mortal sin The only difference between us Is the color of our skin We are from the same mould That we know as humankind But some seem to be intolerant For they are ignorant and blind A person should not be judged By just the exterior of their being Your need to look inside their heart Deep inside you should be seeing If we put each race together In a great big mixing bowl You would end up with one color Along with a heart and soul So embrace your fellow man Regardless of his race And the world is bound to prosper It will become a better place * * * "Choose your friends by their character and your socks by their color Choosing your socks by their character makes no sense, and choosing your friends by their color is unthinkable" I am in motion |

Smiling at this piece of heart, soul, and wisdom. A wonderfully honest open right-on write. [This message has been edited by Midnitesun (11-28-2003 11:15 AM).] |

quote: I believe we'd end up with a marble pattern of swirling beautiful contrasting colors and shapes. I came back to enjoy this write again, Sue. |

Definitely much wisdom in this write, as is in all of yours. We try to tell eachother the prejudice and racism is gone... but its not. Well said, love this. Always, Alyssa He was a man of sorrows |
