Your voice, I hear,
Your smile I sense,
Your face I see,
Your fragrance I smell,
Your appearance I resolve.

I feel your presence,
Every moment,
Though you are not there,
I feel you are,
Somewhere near.

I feel you follow,
Wherever I go,
Your memories haunt me,
When I am awake,
And in dreams at night.

I feel I am not alone,
I feel you deep inside my heart,
Though it's long since, you have gone,
Out of my life forever,
Making me wait forever.

For some reason I have always been a fan of a sad poem or stories. THey really do reach out and touch a spot inside me. I think mainly because it reminds me of my first love. She still "haunts" me. So much so that I cried until 1:00 in the morning. A haunting indeed...an ever present reminder of what she taught me. How to love someone other than those in my family.
