You left us today, my friend.
How did you fight the battle so gallantly?
No one did it like you.
Where did you find the courage?
    You are my inspiration.
Why did you lock us out?
    We selfishly wanted you near.
Can I forgive you for going away?
My heart is empty without you.
Will the memories help me to heal?
I will think of you and smile.
You left us today, my friend.
We are better people for having loved you,M.M.

Such a sad piece...a sad time.  Questions we've all asked before, and will again.

Peace.

This is a wonderful tribute to a fine friend.  You've written it perfectly.
